The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Payback PPV event:
Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy
Right out of the gate, the Mysterio’s went after Murphy. Dominik hit a springboard dive to him before Rey got in and called out Rollins. They started to brawl. Seth with a series of strikes then hit a gut buster. Seth beatdown Dominik and Rey for a few minutes.
Moments later, Rey fought back and went for a quick pin attempt, but Murphy saved his dad. Dominik hit a big DDT to Murphy but Seth took him out. Rey was caught in a backbreaker by Seth. Everyone started to brawl. Rey took out Murphy with a dive through the middle ropes.
Rey went to the top rope for a crossbody dive, but Seth caught him with a double knee then a super kick for 2. Seth went for the Stomp, but Rey moved and went for a facebuster, but Seth reversed it with his own. Dominik made the save to break the pin attempt. Seth sent Dominik to the floor then sent him into the barricade.
Murphy was tagged in and Rey sent Rollins into the corner and Murphy accidentally kicked Seth in the head. Rey took out Murphy then hit a sunset flip powerbomb to Seth into the barricade. Dominik hit the 619 then a frog splash off the top rope for the win.Â
