UPDATE x 2: We reported on Monday that Jason Jordan is dealing with a “very serious” neck injury that may require surgery. If he undergoes surgery, he would likely be out of action for 12-14 months. As reported earlier today here on eWrestlingNews.com, Jordan’s wife made a post on social media claiming that Jason is suffering from a “minor neck injury” and that “he’ll be back in no time.” She went on to say that everything you’ve read online is “fake news”.

In an update on this, multiple sources within WWE have confirmed that Jason Jordan has been pulled from the road. This includes all live events and TV tapings going forward.

As seen during Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW, there was a backstage segment where Kurt Angle told him to go home until he’s medically cleared. This was done to write him off TV for the time being.

NOTE: As I was writing the above article, WWE issued the following statement, confirming that Jordan will be undergoing surgery:

Raw Superstar Jason Jordan underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a neck injury, WWE.com can confirm.

“He had an injury to a disc in his neck which resulted in significant pain that was refractory to all conservative measures,” WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon said. “It was decided to do a minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve, to allow it to heal.”

The procedure Jordan underwent is called a minimally invasive posterior cervical microdiscectomy. It is not known just how long Jordan will be out of action.

Stay with WWE.com as updates on Jordan’s condition become available.

UPDATE: Jason Jordan’s wife April Everhart took to social media to shoot down reports that her husband is dealing with a serious neck injury that would likely require surgery. She wrote the following:

“I will address this once…
Yes, “Jason Jordan” is injured. I assure you everything you have seen online is “Fake News!” He has a minor neck injury and will be back in no time! Although, I am very excited to have him home for a bit, I promise, I will help guide him to a speedy recovery! Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on him! He is very positive and already planning his comeback! In the meantime, just please keep sending Nathan and I good vibes!!”

ORIGINAL: According to sources, Jason Jordan’s neck injury is much more serious than first thought and may require surgery. As we reported last month here on eWn, Jordan was pulled from several RAW live events last month and barely worked during his tag title match alongside Seth Rollins at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Multiple sources are reporting that Jordan’s injury has been causing him problems with his grip and appears to be similar to the injuries that Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit suffered from. For what it’s worth, Jordon may opt to have surgery to fix it. If he does so, it’s the type of injury and surgery that typically requires a twelve to fourteen months to recovery time. Jordan is said to be doing everything to avoid having surgery done and is looking at other options.
