WWE RAW Superstar Kevin Owens has said he doesn’t want to end up like his red-brand comrade Dolph Ziggler.
Ziggler, who debuted under his current gimmick in 2008, is a veteran of the main roster and has often been called underrated by fans.
Over the years, there have been reports of Ziggler being frustrated with WWE but has chosen to always re-sign rather than try in another promotion.
Speaking on the “Out of Character” podcast, Owens said he respects Dolph but doesn’t want to end up like him:
“He’s a guy I respect a ton… But he is definitely one of the people that I would look at and think, ‘Man, I don’t wanna be like Dolph.’ In the sense that Ziggler is so good, and I would see him so frustrated because he’s so good and he feels like he should be doing more, and he was right.
“This was 2015, 2016. I was like, ‘I don’t wanna be like that. I wanna come to work and I don’t wanna be frustrated all the time.’”
Ziggler hasn’t competed since losing the NXT Championship to Bron Breakker on the RAW after WrestleMania 38.
