Last Thursday, eleven WWE Superstars (including Drew McIntyre, Evan Bourne, and several others) were released in one of WWE’s biggest axings to date. We can now confirm that the next target is WWE’s developmental territory, WWE NXT.
According to reports, NXT’s budget has been cut considerably in terms of production and post-production. The roster is expected to be evaluated, with a number of releases to take place in the next month or so.
WWE has been “staggering” the widespread budget cuts so the company can to fiscally responsible to Wall Street and doesn’t set off a widespread panic interally.
