WWE Reportedly In Talks With Major Video Game Developer For Projects After 2K22

WWE’s contract with 2K Games may end after the release of 2K22 this week as the company is reportedly in talks with rival developer EA Games.

WWE’s relationship with 2K began in 2013 with the release of WWE 2K14, with the latest game in the series set to hit shelves on March 11.

Fightful select reports that WWE has been in talks with EA, best known for games series’ including NFL Madden, FIFA, and The Sims.

WWE’s relationship with 2K has been strained in recent years after the reception to WWE 2K20 which launched in late 2019.

2K are also said to be frustrated with WWE for their constant releases, which has caused 2K22 to be delayed as developers needed to keep editing the game.

WWE 2K22 will release on March 11, with the Deluxe Edition and NWO 4-Life Edition releasing tomorrow.
