WWE Reportedly Offering To Double Some Rival Contract Offers On The Spot

The professional wrestling market is booming once again for talent. Now more than ever there are plenty of options for talents to sign with. WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), Ring Of Honor (ROH), and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) are now some of the biggest professional wrestling companies around.

Due to the recent addition of AEW to the mix – who have signed Chris Jericho, PAC, Adam Page, The Young Bucks, Cody – however, WWE seems to be getting a bit worried. Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE stars have been told, if they can bring them an offer on paper, WWE will beat it.

Also, some talents have been told that they’ll double the deal if the talent signs with WWE on the spot. This idea apparently started after Bandido decided to sign with ROH instead of going to WWE. It’s interesting to note that WWE didn’t offer to double Jericho’s deal from AEW, likely reflecting just how big that contract is.
