According to sources, WWE recently contacted the recently released Cody Rhodes for a new deal. The offer made to him is said to be very similar to a Legends contract where it would allow the company to release merchandise and other items with his likeness. The speculation is that WWE may have some new “Stardust” merchandise coming out through a third party (Example: action figures through Mattel). If Rhodes signs the deal, it would legally allow them to move forward with the sale of these items.
With that being said, there has been no talk of Rhodes returning as a full-time performer. Cody continues to take independent bookings and already has representation for possible acting work in Hollywood.
