With Vince McMahon now retired, some have speculated whether or not this opens the door for a possible Sasha Banks and Naomi return.
According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer, WWE, underneath the new leadership of Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H, may have plans to try and make peace with the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
During an appearance on Thursday’s Sports Illustrated Media podcast, Meltzer stated that plans for bringing the duo back are up in the air. However, he also added that nothing is set in stone.
“It’s kind of up in the air. They’re gone. The last I heard was that there would be attempts made to reconcile, especially with Vince gone. So, it’s up in the air. I don’t think there’s anything definite just yet.”
Banks and Naomi haven’t been on WWE TV since they walked out of the May 16th episode of RAW. Several reports have stated that the duo’s contracts were set to expire soon. It has been announced that Banks will participate in the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) next weekend.
