The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Royal Rumble PPV event in Phoenix, Arizona at Chase Field on the WWE Network:
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar vs. Shane McMahon & The Miz
Shane speared Sheamus right out of the gate and then landed a series of strikes. Miz and Cesaro are now legal and Miz rolled him up for 2. Miz tried to fight out of the heel corner but the champions got the better of him with a series of strikes.
Shane came in to break things up. Miz with a series of strikes in the corner to Sheamus. Cesaro attacked him from behind and they clear one of the announce tables where they attempted to send Miz through it but Shane made the save. Shane went for an elbow drop off the top rope but Sheamus stopped it and Shane took him out with a dive.
Cesaro with a major league uppercut to Shane then tossed him into the barricade. Cesaro and Sheamus with a double team move to Miz in the ring. For the next few moments, they beat down Miz until he manages to make a comeback. Shane got the hot tag and hit a series of strikes to Sheamus then a flying elbow and a DDT for 2.
Cesaro tagged himself in but ate a back elbow. Shane went to the top rope for the coast to coast but Cesaro caught him and did the giant swing. Shane for a triangle choke off his back but Sheamus broke it up with a knee strike. Miz took out Sheamus but eventually ate a clothesline. Sheamus and Cesaro hit a double white noise for 2. Shane went to the top rope and hit a shooting star press for the win.
Winner: Shane McMahon & The Miz – NEW Champions
