On this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown (full results here), Finn Balor wrestled fabled frenemy, AJ Styles.
During the match, Michael Cole announced on commentary that Luke Gallows was unable to be ringside for the bout because he is nursing an injury. Further details regarding the injury have not been disclosed as of this writing. Karl Anderson and Mia Yim were intact in Styles’ corner.
Balor defeated Styles on Friday night’s show following repeated interferences by The Judgement Day, and eventually Jimmy Uso.
Despite the loss, AJ Styles appeared toward the end of the show to save John Cena from an assault at the hands of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso on ‘The Grayson Waller Effect.’ You can find out more on that here.
