According to reports, WWE’s legal team recently sent out cease and desist letters to several independent wrestling promotions regarding the promotions using WWE-owned photographs to advertise former WWE Superstars who will be appearing at their upcoming events.
Most of the promoters received the letters on the same day so it’s likely WWE sent them out all at once. Of course, WWE is within their legal rights to demand the photos not be used, as they own any shots that were photographed by their own photographers.
