WWE Sent A Message To The Roster By ‘Burying’ Sasha Banks & Naomi On TV

WWE sent a message to their roster not to walk out with their recent ‘burial’ of Sasha Banks and Naomi, Dave Meltzer has claimed.

During last week’s RAW, Banks and Naomi walked out of the show, citing creative differences with what the company had planned.

Banks and Naomi were reportedly against plans for the then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to feud for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s reaction to Sasha and Naomi, as the company has called them “unprofessional:”

“The fact that they buried [Sasha Banks and Naomi]… Again… It just tells you the mood that they were in. They were in a very strong mood and I know also it was absolutely meant as a message to talent: Don’t walk out during a live show, because we will bury you.

“Whether that matters or not to talent, I don’t know, but it absolutely was a message to everyone there that if you, again, you can discuss things and whatever. You can question things and all that and that’s part of the deal. I think that the problem was the walking out… So, that was how they handled it.”

Both women have been suspended from WWE TV and have had their merchandise pulled from WWE’s Shop website.

Naomi has removed all references to being employed by WWE from her social media profiles.
