Rey Mysterio will defend the WWE United States Championship against Logan Paul later today at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia.
Ahead of their title defense, Mysterio knocked down Paul during their weigh-in on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Paul disrespected Mysterio by patting him on the head, and Mr. 619 slapped The Maverick in response.
In the ensuing melee, Mysterio nailed Paul with a microphone and knocked him down.

John Cena confronted Solo Sikoa on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown ahead of their scheduled match at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 pay-per-view event.
Sikoa cut a promo in the ring which led to Cena confronting him. Sikoa then gave Cena the mic so that he could bid farewell to the audience since he wouldn’t be able to speak after Crown Jewel 2023.
Cena said that although he was still recovering from last week’s Samoan Spike, he would destroy Solo in 90 seconds.
Cena further noted that Sikoa was employed only due to Roman Reigns, and called him a Taz rip-off.
AEW broadcaster Taz later took to Twitter to comment on the segment, writing,
“U can’t see me.”
