During this week’s episode of WWE NXT 2.0, Cora Jade would cut a promo stating that she “needs” to win the NXT Women’s World Championship.
Following this, Jade would run through a list of her heroes in WWE past and present. One of those names was SmackDown Superstar Natalya, who would return to the brand to confront Jade.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion would initially begin to tear up at the sight of Jade, but shortly thereafter Natalya would slap Cora Jade before locking in the Sharpshooter.

Later on in the show, Natalya would confirm that she will be staying around in NXT 2.0 for the foreseeable future.
Additionally, Diamond Mine’s Tatum Paxley would challenge Natalya to a match – this was then made official for next week’s show.

Despite never having a full run in WWE NXT, Natalya has wrestled on the brand on multiple occasions. The most notable of Natalya’s appearances on the brand was her match against Charlotte Flair for the then-vacant NXT Women’s World Championship back in 2014.
