WWE Sought To Film At Starrcast For Upcoming Documentary

WWE apparently wanted to film footage at Starrcast V for an upcoming documentary.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE reached out in an attempt to strike a deal to film parts of the event for a documentary.

WWE apparently spoke with Conrad Thompson, who wanted to use WWE-owned footage – most likely Crockett-era footage that WWE owns in their library – in exchange. However, the two sides were not able to come to an agreement.

With that being said, it’s noted that WWE will likely be able to make a deal for some footage later, similar to how AEW did when they were able to use footage of Mance Warner winning the Bunkhouse Battle Royal from Ric Flair’s Last Match.
