Last week, Steve Cutler was released by WWE as it was reported that Vince McMahon was livid with him due to him testing positive for COVID-19.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how Buddy Murphy was affected by the Cutler news as Cutler and Wesley Blake appeared on SmackDown as part of King Corbin’s Knights of the Lone Wolf faction. WWE had plans for the group to feud with Rey and Dominik Mysterio and Murphy.
When he tested positive, he was pulled from TV and the storyline was dropped.
