Variety reported on Thursday that John Cena will be part of the cast of the new “Argylle” movie. The project will start filming in Europe this August and released next year.
WWE reportedly hopes to have John Cena challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the title at this year’s SummerSlam, which takes place Saturday, August 21st.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cena is currently free of his acting responsibilities and is said to be a “lock” for the show.
It’s possible that production will begin after Summerslam or that Cena could either be done before then or get time off.
