WWE Turns Down Bruno Sammartino Movie, Kaitlyn Note

— WWE has turned down an offer to do Scott Rosenfeldt’s movie about Bruno Sammartino. There are still other parties interested, but Rosenfeldt was hoping that WWE would be involved.

Rich Swann has been added to EVOLVE 23 and EVOLVE 24. He is focused solely on former partner Johnny Gargano after the actions of DGUSA Bushido 2013. A pair of matches have been signed to continue this exploding feud. They are….

EVOLVE 23 in Queens will see Swann and World-1 International partner Ricochet vs. Johnny Gargano and a partner of Gargano’s choice. The Open The Freedom Gate Champion has selected Trent Baretta as his partner. It will be Swann & Ricochet vs. Gargano & Baretta on September 21st. This will tie directly to EVOLVE 24.

EVOLVE 24 in Brooklyn will have Johnny Gargano vs. Rich Swann one-on-one. If Gargano’s team wins the tag match at EVOLVE 23, Gargano will get to pick the stip of this match. If Swann’s team wins, Swann will get to pick the stipulation.

Mr. Touchdown Mark Angelosetti is the final competitor in Style Battle. The field of eight puts on emphasis on fresh faces who are evolving the various styles of pro wrestling. Mr. Touchdown is best known for his impact in CHIKARA. The complete field now has:

There will be 2 Four Way Elimination Matches at EVOLVE 23. The two winners will then collide to determine this year’s Style Battle Champion at EVOLVE 24. All those who are eliminated will take part in a Freestyle Match at EVOLVE 24. We will announce the participants in each Four Way Elimination Match in the next WWNLive Alerts after Labor Day Weekend.

Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy join the field in The Young Buck Tag Team Invitational. Already entered are Jigsaw & The Shard, The Bravado Brothers and Dos Ben Dejos. Matt Jackson, half of the Open The United Gate Champions, will oversee the invitational. The goal is to strengthen the tag team scene and determine new challengers for the titles.
