WWE’s original plans for The Judgement Day was for the group to be more supernatural, an idea that was rejected by Edge.

The Judgement Day began at WrestleMania 38 when Edge aligned with Damian Priest and the group recruited Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania: Backlash.

On this week’s RAW, Finn Balor usurped control of the group from Edge by kicking the WWE Hall of Famer out.

Fightful Select reports that there had been plans for the group to go in a more supernatural direction, but Edge was vocally opposed to the idea.

It’s also reported that WWE had plans on Balor joining the group before WWE Hell in a Cell 2022, where the original three Judgement Day members defeated Balor, AJ Styles and Liv Morgan.

Edge being kicked out of the group was kept quiet backstage and wasn’t disclosed until hours before RAW.

Even then, the reports backstage only said that there would be a big change with Balor and Edge and did not confirm that the Hall of Famer was being kicked out.
