According to a report from Fightful, WWE is hoping to have rapper Cardi B host this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event. WWE confirmed on Friday that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21st. The location for the show has not officially been determined, but the rumors are that the event will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
WWE has also confirmed that the SummerSlam theme song will be Cardi’s new single “Up”, which was released in February and topped the Billboard 100 during the month of March. Cardi B has also starred in several films, most notably alongside WWE Superstar John Cena in F9, which is set to release in June.
