In a recent report by Fightful, WWE has been in the planning stages to run venues involving fans that would have social distancing rules implemented. One of the locations being considered for a live event featuring “real fans” would be in Lakeland, Florida at the RP Funding Center. The idea was to hold a set of television tapings there in July, but once the company had several cases of COVID-19 positive cases, those plans were quickly changed.
WWE responded to the site’s request for comment to say that the information is not accurate but did not offer further clarification.
