The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Crown Jewel PPV event:

WWE World Cup Finals – The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler:

Drew McIntyre is sent to the back before the match begins. While Ziggler is distracted, Miz attacks Ziggler before the match officially begins. As Miz exits the ring, however, Miz’s leg gives out. The referee checks on Miz, who says he can continue. But the referee says that he can’t allow it to continue. However, the match never officially got underway. Shane McMahon won’t allow the official ruling to be a forfeit. McMahon will now take Miz’s place in the finals.

WWE World Cup Finals – Shane McMahon vs. Dolph Ziggler:

Shane McMahon goes right after Ziggler, but some temporary interference from Corbin gets him tossed from ringside. Ziggler capitalizes and is now in control, going after McMahon. Shane battles back and hits a spinning DDT on Ziggler, before tossing him into the turnbuckle in the corner. McMahon sees his opportunity for Coast-To-Coast.

Shane hits it, and gets the three count. SHANE MCMAHON WINS THE WWE WORLD CUP!

WWE World Cup Winner: Shane McMahon
