The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE WrestleMania 37 event:
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair
They brawled to start off the match then Banks sent her face first into the ring post. Banks hit an outside dive, but Belair rolled through and carried Banks up the steel steps and tossed her into the ring. Banks with a drop kick for 2 then rained down some strikes. Banks used Belair’s hair and dragged her around ringside.
Belair had Banks in a suplex spot and showed off her power. Belair with a standing shooting star then a spear in the corner. Belair went for a dive off the top rope, but Banks put her knees up. They traded roll ups then Belair hit a series of powerbombs. Banks hit a springboard DDT for 2. Banks with a splash off the top rope for a near fall. Banks went for the bank statement and used Belair’s hair while doing so.
Banks missed a knee strike in the corner and Belair hit a 450 splash for a near fall. Belair hit Banks in the stomach with her hair then connected with the Kiss of Death for the win.
Winner: Bianca Belair – NEW Champion
