Various figures have shown that this year’s WrestleMania 38 pay-per-view event was a huge success for Peacock. WWE’s biggest show of the year saw far greater engagement in multiple areas according to a new report from Diesel Labs.
The report notes that in comparison to last year’s event, there was an 18.9% increase in engagement. This number is a noticeable improvement from the gap between WrestleMania 36 – WrestleMania 37, which saw an increase of 11.5%.
Also in what is a very impressive statistic, there was a 71.9% increase in new engagers. This is the percentage of the audience who did not watch the previous year’s WrestleMania, but chose to watch ‘Mania 38.
Finally, it was noted that WrestleMania 38 managed to increase Peacock’s audience by 5.3%. This is the second-highest increase for the network caused by a specific event over the last year, only being topped by the 6.27% increase that came courtesy of the Winter Olympics.
