According to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE are yet to sell out next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The show, which will be WWE’s first show of their new touring schedule will welcome fans back to a WWE event for the first time since WrestleMania 37. Set to air from Houston’s Toyota Centre, the event is reportedly around 800 tickets short of selling out its capacity of approximately 13,000.
WWE have also failed to sell out next weekend’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. However, at the time of writing there is just 243 tickets that have yet to sell for the event, so the event could well hit capacity by next weekend.
The report also stated that WWE have sold over 38,000 tickets for SummerSlam, which will make it the largest attendance WWE have managed for a single night event since the beginning of the pandemic. The aforementioned WrestleMania 37 reportedly managed to sell 40,806 tickets over two nights.
