WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE officials are optimistic that Bianca Belair will be medically cleared to return in time for SummerSlam this August, if not sooner. “The EST of WWE” is already prominently featured in early promotional materials alongside Cardi B, who has been announced as the special host for the event. SummerSlam will be held over two nights — August 2 and 3 — at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
In addition, WWE is reportedly showing strong interest in bringing Mr. Iguana into the fold on a full-time basis. The character is viewed as a valuable asset for both marketing and community engagement, thanks largely to its popularity with younger fans. Mr. Iguana has stated that his WWE debut will take place directly on the main roster, bypassing the usual developmental path through NXT.
Elsewhere, Nikki Bella has confirmed she’s committing to an extended run in WWE. In an interview with PEOPLE, she said, “You’ll definitely see me for a bit. It’s not a quick in and out.” Nikki returned to Monday Night RAW this past week, where she was attacked by Liv Morgan, and she’s already scheduled to appear again next week in Green Bay. Meanwhile, her sister Brie Bella is rumored to return for a match at WWE Evolution on July 13, with The Bella Twins expected to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
