As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE will hold a live event from the UNIPOL Arena in Bologna, Italy, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
The official poster for the event features WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre. This caused fans to speculate about McIntyre’s status as his current WWE contract expires shortly after WrestleMania 40 in April.
Pwinsider is reporting that while McIntyre appears in the promotional graphic for the Italy event, he has yet to sign a new contract with WWE.
WWE is reportedly working under the idea that McIntyre will renew his deal, which explains why the Scottish Warrior is appearing in promotional material for the upcoming European tour.
While both WWE and McIntyre are hoping to ink a new deal soon, a new contract has yet to be finalized.
Of course, there’s also a chance that ongoing negotiations could break down.
McIntyre is set to compete in the men’s Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber: Perth later this month.
