Backstage Update On The Debut Of The Wyatt Sicks Group

Monday’s episode of WWE RAW concluded with the surprise return of Uncle Howdy and the introduction of the new Wyatt Sicks faction, featuring real-life versions of Ramblin’ Rabbit, Huskus The Pig, Mercy The Buzzard, and Abby The Witch, with Nikki Cross portraying Abby.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE purposely avoided mentioning the group’s name on TV, social media, or their website. Bo Dallas is playing Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross is featured as the Abigail-inspired character, Dexter Lumis is portraying the Mercy the Buzzard-inspired character, Joe Gacy is in the gas mask, and Erick Rowan is playing a specially designed character that he requested.

Many wrestlers were kept off TV for months to prepare for the faction’s debut. Jey Uso will reportedly continue to mention the group moving forward. The company also anticipates that the group’s impact will be felt across various programs, causing a ripple effect on the show.

The report mentioned that the selection of talent and characters targeted in the storyline and those who “left” before the show were carefully planned for specific purposes. A WWE source mentioned that “you can’t defeat ghosts with wrestling moves,” hinting at there being no supernatural elements involved in the storyline. WWE was pleased with the backstage camera shot and the segment’s reception. They were also thrilled with the crowd’s reaction overall.
