WWE has officially acquired Lucha Libre AAA, marking a historic moment in the world of professional wrestling. The announcement was made ahead of WrestleMania 41 Saturday, generating major buzz across the industry.
As part of the announcement, WWE revealed that NXT x AAA: Worlds Collide, a special crossover event will be taking place on June 7 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, CA.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque stated, “We’re ready to take Lucha Libre to the next level,” signaling a bold new direction for the iconic Mexican promotion under WWE’s global umbrella.
Joining Triple H for the announcement were AAA’s Marisela Peña and Dorian Roldán, along with a star-studded lineup of luchadores including Rey Mysterio, Stephanie Vaquer, Rey Fenix, PENTA, Andrade, El Hijo del Vikingo, Santos Escobar, and more.
