Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn to win the WWE Intercontinental Title earlier this month at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
In a recent interview with TalkSport, Breakker was asked if 2024 is his year.
In response, the 26-year-old wrestler noted that he is focused on earning the respect of his colleagues in the locker room, indicating that he still has considerable progress to make.
Breakker said, “I think I have a lot of work to do. I have a lot of people’s respect to gain, in the locker room and stuff as well. It’s still early. I think this is the year of my ascension or rise to becoming a main player, but we’ll see.”
Breakker put his feud with Zayn to rest after defeating him in a two-out-of-three falls match this week on WWE RAW.
