Former WWE Superstar Candice Michelle is hoping for healing on all sides of the Vince McMahon scandal following Netflix’s docuseries.
Mr. McMahon is a six-part series that focuses on the rise and fall of the 79-year-old billionaire, including several of his controversies.
During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, Michelle, a former WWE Women’s Champion, shared her thoughts on Janel Grant’s lawsuit. She said,
“I think first of all, I loved the documentary. One of the things that I want to say that I liked so much, and it just rang so true to me, I have never been known as the best wrestler or the wrestler either with the coolest moves. I think for me what got me over was being able to take the heat and really kind of putting my partner over. One of the things that Vince says in this docuseries is being able to take the heat and not only take the heat.
“I think it [the lawsuit] comes down to what makes people heal. Can this woman heal from a financial gain? Can Vince heal and be not attached to this lawsuit from financial settlement? So that’s between these two parties to really figure out, and hopefully they can move on from this and can live the rest of their lives.”
Grant alleges that she was sexually abused and trafficked to others in WWE by McMahon. The former WWE CEO has denied all wrongdoing.
Michelle appeared in the crowd on RAW in August of this year. She was part of WWE from 2004 to 2009 and is a former WWE 24/7 Champion.
