The annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal—a WrestleMania tradition—took place on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Featuring 26 of the WWE Superstars who were not booked on the card for WrestleMania 41, it was ultimately Carmelo Hayes who stood tall and has his name etched into the trophy and the history books.

Some notable moments in the match were the start with R-Truth stealing Carlito’s apple, nearly every tag team being eliminated in a group (Los Garza, Pretty Deadly, The Creed Brothers, Alpha Academy, A-Town Down Under, LWO all going in pairs), and surprisingly, The Miz basically sacrificing himself to save Carmelo Hayes.
The final four came down to Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes and Rey Fenix.

Andrade took out Nakamura. El Grande Americano then interfered and pulled Fenix out. Hayes eventually managed to catch Andrade off guard and flip him out of the ring to win, proving himself a worthwhile first-round draft pick for SmackDown after all.
