In a recent interview with Virgin Radio UK, Chelsea Green recalled the first time she held a championship as a professional wrestler. She said,

“That was the Girls Gone Wrestling title, and it kind of was around the same that I won my first TV title, which was for the Knockouts Championship for TNA. So there’s two, hand in hand, it was Girls Gone Wrestling for independents, and then on TV I was the Knockouts Champion. It was so cool, just coming up and winning my first championship and feeling validated you know?”

Green’s TNA Knockouts Title reign began in 2017 when she was working as Laurel Van Ness and ended the title reign of Rosemary.

The self-professed “Hot Mess” held the title until March 2018, when she lost the gold to Allie in her final TNA match until 2021.

Chelsea Green is in her first reign as the inaugural Women’s U.S. Champion. On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, she got herself DQ’d in a title match against Michin.
