The next edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to happen sooner than expected.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared an update regarding WWE’s schedule for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE has confirmed that the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on January 25, 2025, just one week before the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on February 1.
The intention is to organize four editions of Saturday Night’s Main Event each year, with a quarterly schedule.
Meltzer further stated that NBC determined the show’s timing in relation to the 2025 Royal Rumble.
He said, “The deal is that when they get the date from NBC, that is the date they run. They do not run NBC. NBC is the one who makes the choice. They are the higher power in this one.”
The iconic WWE show is returning to broadcast television later this month. WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be held on December 14, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The event will be aired live on NBC and simultaneously streamed on Peacock.
