Former WWE World Champion turned actor Dave Bautista has said that the trials of a successful Hollywood career can’t compare to WWE.
During an interview with Film Inside to promote his new film ‘In the Lost Lands,’ Bautista compared his two biggest entertainment avenues. He said,
“I have a strong work ethic, and my work ethic really came from the WWE, if nothing else, they’re not only durable people, but it’s just the hardest grind that I could ever imagine. Being in Hollywood and being on a film set, it’s long hours, but compared to the grind of being a professional wrestler, it’s just a cakewalk.”
Bautista added that while Hollywood acting has its fair share of tough moments, he is grateful for being in the position he is in. He said,
“I’m in this business, and I find it hard to relate to people who are just always unhappy on set and always complaining about something. I don’t relate to that at all. So that’s it.”
Bautista is one of the most successful wrestlers to cross into acting and has appeared in massive franchises including Marvel, Blade Runner, and James Bond.
Bautista’s final match for WWE came at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, where he faced his long-time friend and mentor Triple H in The Game’s final WrestleMania match.
