Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract Reportedly Extends Past WrestleMania 40

As we previously reported here on eWn, Drew McIntyre’s current WWE contract was set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 40. However, based on a new report, that no longer appears to be the case.

Fightul Select is reporting that McIntyre’s contract will extend well beyond WrestleMania 40.

The former WWE Champion had more time added to the contract duration due to past injury and inactivity.

This could likely explain why McIntyre has been featured in the promotional material for the upcoming WWE live event in Bologna, Italy, while the card and talent are still subject to change.

Additionally, both WWE and McIntyre have had conversations about a new deal, however, a new contract has yet to be finalized.

The Scottish Warrior is well respected in WWE by both talent and staff for his on-air work, media commitments, and community events.

McIntyre is scheduled to perform at WrestleMania XL this year.
