What’s on tap for next week’s edition of WWE NXT? Here’s what was announced on this week’s episode to get you prepared for next Tuesday.
Eddy Thorpe came out during a promo between Oba Femi and Trick Williams, accusing Femi of being the one who attacked him, and criticizing Trick for not being more of a locker room leader and stepping up to find out who took him out. This led to Williams getting tired of Thorpe’s insults and awarding Thorpe a title shot so he could prove why he’s champion.
At the end of the episode, as Thorpe was signing the contract in Ava’s office, he revealed that no one attacked him at all. He faked it just so he could manipulate this situation and get a title match “without going through 25 minutes of hell to get it.”

In another bout of misfortune for The Super Sonic Duo, Axiom and Nathan Frazer tried to do the right thing for each other as tag team partners, but both inadvertently booked Axiom in a match. Axiom wanted to face Oba Femi to get back at him for the beating he gave Frazer at NXT Deadline in their Iron Survivor Challenge match. Frazer wanted to book them for a tag team title defense to offset how Axiom had to carry the weight in their last title match. As such, Axiom is going to have to wrestle two matches, first against Oba Femi, and second, defend the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Frazer against Gallus.

Also, Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend will be in tag team action against Sol Ruca and Zaria after a backstage confrontation where Legend and Jackson badmouthed the other two and stated that if they had been in the Iron Survivor Challenge, they would have won it, unlike Ruca and Zaria.

While not yet advertised, it can be expected that either on this episode or the December 24th edition (which will be taped in advance after next Tuesday’s episode), we’ll likely see a six-woman tag team match between Shotzi, Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley against Fatal Influence.
