Matt Riddle was cut from WWE in 2023 as part of the first wave of releases under TKO, but Eric Bischoff believes he could make a return one day.
On a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff praised Riddle as “incredibly intelligent” and said that he would not be surprised if a return were to happen.
Bischoff went as far as to say he’d be “shocked” if a return never happened, adding that Riddle is a “very entertaining performer.”
Bischoff added that Riddle needs to work with “the right people” to bring the best out of him and said that he doesn’t believe there are enough ‘right people’ in AEW.
Riddle was cut from WWE after a series of issues, including backstage heat, a wellness policy violation, and an altercation at JFK airport.
