WWE is making a notable shift in its long-term plans for WrestleMania.

Initially announced for New Orleans, WrestleMania 42 in 2026 will now be held in Las Vegas — marking the second consecutive year the event is hosted in the city. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company is considering making Las Vegas a regular — though not necessarily annual — home for its biggest event of the year.

This pivot follows the massive financial success of WrestleMania 41, which set new records for both WWE and its parent company, TKO. Several key factors are driving this potential long-term commitment to Las Vegas:

* Proximity to TKO leadership, many of whom are based in Las Vegas.
* WWE President Nick Khan grew up in Las Vegas and maintains strong connections in the city.
* Vegas’s growing profile as a go-to destination for marquee sports and entertainment events. The city is aggressively pursuing a rotation of major spectacles such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, College Football Playoff National Championship, and WrestleMania.

WWE WrestleMania 42 is currently slated for April 18–19 at Allegiant Stadium, though a few logistical hurdles remain. A previously unannounced concert is scheduled at the venue around that time, creating a tight turnaround for WWE’s production team. While stadium officials have lobbied the concert promoters to adjust their date, the event is locked in due to contractual obligations.

There’s also the matter of limited availability at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which played a major role in fan events during WrestleMania 41 week. With another event already booked in 2026, WWE may be forced to downsize or relocate. Mandalay Bay is reportedly the top alternative being explored.
