Four “Evolution Eliminator” matches took place on NXT this week to settle the Superstars who will battle it out next week in a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender’s match. The winner of that bout will be the next in line to challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE Evolution on July 13th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jaida Parker defeated Thea Hail (despite Hail making Parker tap out when the referee couldn’t see it), Lash Legend beat Kelani Jordan, Izzi Dame scored arguably an upset over ZARIA, and Jordynne Grace defeated Lola Vice with Beast Mode.
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo will face Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup. Why? Because “his consigliere signed off on it” (which Luca Crusifino claims isn’t him), and because Stacks had beaten Tony D’Angelo, who was a former Heritage Cup champion.
Tavion Heights still wants out of No Quarter Catch Crew, and Charlie Dempsey’s idea for that was to suggest Heights faces Je’Von Evans, who has been speaking up on Tavion’s behalf. If Heights beats Evans, then Heights can freely leave the NQCC.
After Yoshiki Inamura pinned Trick Williams in their six-man tag team match tonight, he’s earned a title shot for the TNA World Championship. However, he decided to give that up to Josh Briggs, who will face Trick next week.
To recap, here’s the lineup for next week’s NXT card:
- NXT Women’s Championship No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match: Izzi Dame vs. Jaida Parker vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Lash Legend
- TNA World Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Josh Briggs
- NXT Heritage Cup Match: Noam Dar (c) vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo
- Je’Von Evans vs. Tavion Heights, with the stipulation that if Heights wins, he’s out of No Quarter Catch Crew as he wants
