Glenn “Kane” Jacobs only has two more years left in office as the Knox County Mayor, and he says he’s considering his options.
Speaking during a recent interview with the Washington Examiner, the politician commented on whether he may run for the Governor of Tennessee. He said,
“Yes [running for Governor]. I have two more years in office and am term-limited, so I’m considering my options, including whether I’ll remain in politics.”
Jacobs has been mayor of Knox County in Tennessee since 2018.
Former NFL star Shawne Merriman recently made an appearance at the TNA Rebellion pay-per-view event, and he recently appeared on the “Mike & JD Show” to comment on possibly stepping into the ring.

On a possible match: “I think it’s possible. I got a great relationship with those guys over there, I think they do a great job.”
On potentially facing Moose: “I like it. I think that people would love to see it, I know we would put on a hell of a show. Who knows man, some wilder things have happened before. I wouldn’t count it out, I wouldn’t count out doing something with them soon.”
