The rumors were true — Goldberg is back in WWE.
The WWE Hall of Famer made a return on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, interrupting newly-crowned World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER during his first post-title victory promo.
Goldberg reminded GUNTHER of an unresolved issue involving his family, referencing an incident that went down in Atlanta, GA. He made it clear that it’s not over — and challenged GUNTHER to settle it where it all began.
Goldberg declared, “It happened in Atlanta… and that’s where I’ll finish it. Saturday Night’s Main Event, July 12. You’re next!”
WWE later made it official during the following commercial break – GUNTHER vs. Goldberg is on for July 12 in Atlanta.
