Grayson Waller won’t count out a babyface turn as a WWE Superstar but is hardly interested in kissing babies and shaking hands with the fans.
Since joining WWE in 2021, Waller has been a heel and has been aligned with the similarly detestable Austin Theory on the main roster.
As of late though, there have been teases of a split between the former WWE Tag Team Champions, which would likely result in one of them turning face.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Waller explained why he isn’t interested in becoming a good guy in WWE. He said,
“It’s possible but I don’t really want to. The one thing I hate about being a babyface is, I don’t think I’d be honest. I think you have all of these babyfaces that have to pretend they love the fans and I can’t stand the fans. I think wrestling fans are the worst fans in the world. Not the fans who pay to eat and have a good time on a Friday with the family and stuff, that’s fine.
“These flop fans online, these smart guys who think they know wrestling, they’re the worst. They will turn on people in an instant. It doesn’t work on me, you have no power over me because I don’t care what you say. I can do whatever I want. Do you hate me? Good, it doesn’t affect me.
“I feel bad for the good guys who have to pretend they like these people and give them a hug and sign stuff in the airport at 3AM. I don’t have to deal with that. My main thing is, I don’t want to be a babyface because I don’t want to pretend I have to like these people, I can’t stand them.”
Waller’s most recent match took place on last Friday’s edition of SmackDown where he and Theory lost to WWE Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns.
