On a recent edition of the “Ring The Belle” podcast, Jacqueline discussed winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown in 2004. She said,
“Chavo Jr. was such a pro. I have a lot of respect for him, to do this for me, to do this together. It was awesome.”
Jacqueline’s win came as part of an angle that saw her feud with both Chavo Guerrero and his father Chavo Classic, who’d also win the title. She said,
“I love his father, he was so funny out there at ringside. I wrestled him too, the storyline was good, he took bumps for me, it was so good.”
Jacqueline won the title on the May 6, 2004 edition of WWE SmackDown before losing the gold to the younger Guerrero at Judgment Day that same month.
On the podcast, Jacqueline shared that she didn’t know why her title reign was so abrupt but was simply grateful to have held the title.
While Jacqueline is the only woman to hold the title in WWE, both Madusa and Daffney held the title as part of WCW.
