During the opening match of Saturday night’s WWE WrestleMania 41 (Night One) pay-per-view event, Jey Uso defeated GUNTHER to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
During the post-show media scrum, Jey expressed his belief that he probably won’t ever surpass the energy he showcased during his WWE Backlash 2024 entrance. He said,
“It was fire, wasn’t it, Uce? Hell yeah. I don’t think I can ever replicate or duplicate some Lyon, France-type energy. I wish I could have that energy every night with me, but it’s okay. I just appreciate those moments, Uce. Shoutout to Lyon, France. I think they put me on the first time I ever thought of myself as some superstar status type. I had to watch it back. I don’t like watching nothing back. It’s just a lot. Lyon, France was 100 and I think that is the best entrance in WWE, let alone with The Undertaker. Stone Cold, glass, that’s your ass. Bret Hart. Shawn Michaels. I’m just appreciating this whole ride as I slide. Yeet.”
