Fans around the world may be chanting ‘Yeet’ with Jey Uso in 2025, but the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble winner has shared the origins of ‘Day One-Ish.’
On a recent edition of the “Club 520” podcast, Uso explained how the phrase, which he used for years as part of The Usos, came about. He said,
“That ‘Day One Ish’ we made a shirt in the middle of the mall. You know, we were just trying stuff. Well, we can’t say ‘Day One S***.’ So, ‘Ish’ was, you know, on the rap song ‘Ish…’ We at the drawing board with stuff.”
On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Jey chose to face World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas this April.
Jey will have the opportunity to win his second singles title in WWE after capturing the Intercontinental Championship in September 2024.
