A few weeks ago, it was announced that ESPN announcer Joe Tessitore would be joining WWE as the newest addition to the commentary team. During the Countdown to WWE SummerSlam 2024 Kickoff show, Michael Cole introduced him formally and spoke to Tessitore momentarily before announcing his debut night to come.
According to Cole’s announcement, Tessitore will start on Monday Night RAW on September 2, 2024 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Cole will shift over to Friday Night SmackDown after that, seemingly filling in the play-by-play position.
It wasn’t specified what the announce teams will look like, however. Will Wade Barrett and Corey Graves be paired with Tessitore? Is Pat McAfee going to be switching to SmackDown to accompany Cole? Or will his commitment to College GameDay have him leaving and we’ll see the teams be Graves/Cole and Barrett/Tessitore?
