John Cena and Randy Orton are set to collide one final time for the WWE Championship at WWE Backlash in St. Louis, MO.
The match was made official after a heated confrontation on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Orton pleaded with Cena, emphasizing how fatherhood has changed him, giving him a new sense of purpose and humility. But Cena fired back, claiming that he never needed children — because he’s spent the last 25 years raising the WWE Universe.
Cena didn’t hold back. He declared his intent to destroy wrestling as we know it, walk away with the WWE Championship, and erase the legacy of the Orton family. He issued the challenge on his terms — wanting the match in St. Louis, so Randy could spend the day with his family and then be humiliated in front of them. Cena punctuated his message by throwing the championship at Orton and launching an attack — but Orton turned the tables, flooring Cena with his second RKO in less than a week.
