As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Corey Graves took to Twitter on Monday night to rant about losing his dream job as an in-ring talent and moving to commentary, where he became “f***ing awesome at it” before being told “you’re not famous enough for your own job.”
While Graves promised that he’d have a lot to say on WWE NXT, he did not appear on commentary on Tuesday night. Instead, he flew back home to Pittsburgh, PA.
Graves’ comments are not a work and were things he had said privately over the last week or so.
During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, former WWE broadcaster Jonathan Coachman shared his thoughts on the situation.
Coachman said, “People said, ‘Oh, he’s working.’ In order for it to be a work, in my opinion, he would have to be able to be a manager or be a wrestler again. If you’re a manager, the first thing that Vince McMahon said to me years ago when I left the announce table for a couple of years and I became a heel character, he said, ‘You have to be willing to get your a** kicked.’ So, to me, it’s not a work. He should feel slighted. The thing that I would never do is I would never tweet that.”
On Wednesday, Graves deleted his tweets regarding his frustration over his move to the WWE NXT commentary team.
