Xavier Woods is yet to hold singles gold in WWE, but Kofi Kingston is confident that his tag team partner could one day hold a World Championship.
On a recent edition of the “Battleground” podcast, Kingston spoke about Woods and whether a World Championship could be in his future. He said,
“He’s definitely worthy of being a world champion. [He’s] in a similar situation as myself; I suffered for 11 years trying to get an opportunity. He hasn’t had that opportunity yet. So yes, of course, there’s frustration there when you’re a WWE Superstar, you want to be the best and you want to be recognized as the best and one way to do that is by winning a World Championship, so he has those aspirations.”
Woods has yet to compete on TV for a World Title but challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship twice at live events this year.
On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Woods and Kingston betrayed Big E, arguing that he’d have returned from his neck injury already if he cared about The New Day.
Kingston captured the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 while Big E cashed in Money in the Bank to win the gold two years later.
